Sri Vijaya Puram, September 24, 2026:
The State Bank of India (SBI) has alerted customers about proposed strike action by employees’ unions that could affect banking services at branches and offices.

In a customer advisory received by Dweep Tulika, SBI said certain employees’ unions have proposed a nationwide bank strike on September 28, 29 and 30, 2026. The advisory also mentions a continuous strike commencing from October 26, 2026.

SBI said it would make all possible efforts to provide essential banking services during the strike period but cautioned that certain services at branches and offices may be affected, potentially causing inconvenience to customers.

The bank has advised customers to complete essential banking transactions well in advance of the proposed strike dates.

Customers have also been advised to use ATMs/ADWMs for cash requirements and make use of YONO, internet/mobile banking, UPI and other digital banking channels wherever possible.

SBI expressed regret for any inconvenience that may be caused to customers due to the proposed strike.
