Initiative Aimed at Addressing Transportation Difficulties

Speaking at the launch, TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation, said the initiative was intended to address a practical difficulty faced by families when a mortuary vehicle is required.

Bhasker said the idea for the vehicle came after discussions about the difficulties people face in transporting deceased persons, particularly in the Middle and North Andaman areas.

According to his remarks, an earlier vehicle used for similar purposes had become unusable and was undergoing repairs. The new vehicle was subsequently arranged as a dedicated service.

Focus on North and Middle Andaman

Bhasker said the new mortuary van would primarily be dedicated to North and Middle Andaman, where, according to him, families can face difficulties in transporting deceased persons.

He clarified that the vehicle would not be restricted exclusively to those areas and could also be made available for emergencies elsewhere, depending on the circumstances.

The management of the vehicle, he said, would be handled by members of the team, with Sajid and Amir mentioned in connection with its management and coordination in the launch remarks.

A Family Tradition of Social Service

Speaking about the Foundation's work, Bhasker attributed the family's commitment to social service to the values instilled by his parents.

He said the family had been encouraged to contribute to society and that these values had continued across generations.

Bhasker also acknowledged the support of family members, Foundation supporters, party workers, social workers and others who have contributed to its activities.

He said the objective was not simply to earn but also to give back to the community.

Continuing the Work Across Generations

Another speaker from the TSG family also spoke about continuing the family's tradition of social responsibility.

He said the family had learned from previous generations the importance of being helpful to society and expressed a commitment to continuing that work in future generations.

The remarks at the event emphasised the role of family values and community service behind the Foundation's initiatives.

Service Intended to Provide Dignity During Difficult Times

The launch of the mortuary van comes at a time when arranging transportation of a deceased person can become an additional challenge for grieving families.

A previous announcement by the Foundation had stated that the proposed service would facilitate the dignified transportation of deceased persons across the Inter-Island and South Andaman region, particularly where families face difficulty obtaining a mortuary vehicle.

The newly launched vehicle is intended to provide an additional support mechanism for such families.

Flag-Off Ceremony

Following the speeches, members and guests were invited to participate in the flag-off of the vehicle.

The event was attended by members of the Foundation and other community representatives, along with Congress workers, social workers and members of the media, according to remarks made during the programme.

The launch marks another humanitarian initiative undertaken by the TSG Charitable Foundation, with the mortuary van intended to provide practical assistance to families during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

The Foundation has described the service as an effort to support people in need and facilitate the dignified transportation of deceased loved ones.
